The Patterson-Gimlin Effect

2008, two-channel video installation, 3:00 minutes

Inspired by Roger Patterson’s and Robert Gimlin’s controversial 1967 film documenting the most authentic Bigfoot footage seen to date, The Patterson-Gimlin Effect constructs a new potential sighting. Animated loops, using appropriated “bigfoot” film clips, serve as scenic backdrops. Natural aspects of the environment merge with mental cinematic constructions, resulting as a foggy space where the imagination takes over, seeing what it wants to believe.
